His Spirit, My Soul Home Page
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Psalm 84:2
When God’s Spirit meets my soul a mysterious thing occurs.
I become a new creation.
I am no longer who I was born to be. I am no longer destined for a tormented future. I have a changed heart with a new life and death to which I can look forward. One filled with peace and security in someone greater than me.
But in order to understand and strengthen this change, both God’s Spirit and my soul must work together.
My soul needs the Holy Spirit to help me understand what is right and wrong, where God is leading my life and to keep my connection to God.
The Holy Spirit needs me to open my heart and mind: to listen to its prompting, to follow its leading, and to be God-focused, not me-focused.
We must talk together in continuous communion and show the world the light we hold, the light of God, and how they can have that same light.
When we study God’s Word, take part in prayer, and evangelize to the world, then our faith in God will be strengthened.
And when a person has strong faith in God they can do what the world calls preposterous.
They can do what very few have had the faith to accomplish.
Their faith will move mountains.
Their faith will do the impossible.
“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20
